I can’t get the fifth bulb to work with the others. FrustratingNot a plug and play bulb, requires you to have some knowledge / experience with setting up smart devices. Once setup though works like a charm.Look, I’ve got to say that when a bulb was flashing like a strobe light and you can’t get it to connect to your Wi-Fi network because it’s a 2.4 GHz signal only, it gets a little frustrating. I had a lot of issues getting this to connect to my Google Wifi. Even though Google Wifi says it transmits by 5 and 2.4 GHz networks, you can’t force devices such as this to connect to 2.4. After experiencing the same issue with another set of smart bulbs that I have used previously, I realized that google had updated their firmware (10/31/19). Did some research and discovered one possible fix it actually worked for me. I disabled a couple of the access points by unplugging them. Then I walked to the furthest point from the wired access point in my house. Due to the distance, my phone had it connect to the 2.4 GHz band. Note, reboot your phone after getting into position. That allowed me to setup the bulbs. One setup was complete, these bulbs are actually very attractive. I‘ll use them in outdoor sconces. Can’t vouch for their longevity or stability yet but at least they’re connected. Good luck! Can’t wait till the ‘smart’ devices will connect to the 5 GHz band. This bulb was easy enough to setup. It requires that you download the Solana app from your app store AND enable the Solana skill in your Amazon Alexa app. My bulbs did require the extra setup step where you have to flip the light switch a few times to force it to start blinking, but I've had to do this with even more expensive bulbs. The BR30 bulb in Frost is a white light that can be adjusted from a harsh cold blue to the warmest shade of yellow. From the Solana app, you can drag a slider to find your ideal color & brightness. From the Alexa app, you can adjust the brightness and then select 1 of 5 preset shades of white light. I am very happy with their 'Soft White', and find it to be a flattering color for the living room. These lights do flicker, which is a pretty big downside and why I am deducting 2 whole stars. I'm noticing about 1 to 2 flickers per hour. That doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is very noticeable and it's distracting. I've purchased several of these bulbs as I prefer the same bulb in a room, but I'm not sure if I will use these for additional rooms on account of the flickering.I like the ability to adjust the brightness and warmth of the light as well as the concept of schedules and creating scenes. There were 2 key things that didn’t work as I had expected: schedules/scenes and user access. First, I am disappointed that, in order for the schedules and scenes to be harmonized, the light would have to be on 24/7. For example, I had hoped to use these in my bathroom with a schedule that would enable the light to have a nightlight effect when turned on within a certain range of hours. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be possible without a lot of manual interactions or unnecessary use of lights if they are kept on all day to accommodate the scenes/schedules - which defeats the purpose of these lights altogether for me. The second issue, you can’t add users to the app to allow others in the household to interact with the lighting. I would not recommend these lights as-is. In their current form, they are a novelty item rather than something for utility and ease-of-use.The Bulbrite Solana G-25 bulbs are one of the few smart light bulbs rated for enclosed fixtures. Almost all other smart bulbs are plastic and fail when heat builds up in the fixture and destroys. These bulbs also work with the Smart Life application. The color and brightness color works well, allowing you to balance the four leds in the bulbs. Each bulb contains two warm white and two bright white leds. The leds are controlled in pairs allowing you switch between bright or warm or a mix of both pairs. I will run these for a while and comment on whether they last in the enclosed fixture. It loses it's connection daily. I wish the C by GE would make a filament bulb. I have 20 lights controlled by my Google home and this is the first time I have had a problem. easy to set up. easy to add to my G-Home. Very versatile; dimmable, colors. really like it. I thought the problem might be the fixture. It is older and maybe the connection wasn't good. But I moved it to another fixture and the problem followed, and was no longer there in the original fixture where I put a C by GE bulb. My workaround for the issue with this bulb is I ask Google to turn it OFF, then ask it to turn it ON. If it doesn't work the first time, it usually works the second time.We purchased these bulbs for use in an overhead over the sink fixture. After two months of use, one bulb became erratic and finally simply blinked off and on. No amount of resets/reinstalls could revive it. Two emails were sent to the company and no response. At $20.00 a bulb I expected a better product and better customer service. Also, only one device is able to operate the bulbs, so if that person leaves the house with his or her phone, no one else can operate the bulbs. They are nice but way too much trouble and way too expensive for me to ever consider purchase anymore of these or to recommend them to anyone else. What I liked about it was that its filament bulb that actually has daylight. Also despite what people said, it’s actually easy to install and their app is easy to use. What I didn’t like was that their app had no widget so I had to open the app if I wanted to turn the lights on/off using my phone. The bulbs are compatible with Tuya but if you install it there, it’s not able to link with google home. Not having a widget is one of the big points for me bc sometimes I like turning turning my lights on with my phone if I’m too lazy to tell google (first world probs Ik).The bulb is actually really good, HOWEVER the software is a nightmare. The balb consistently disconnects from the app, and fully disappears from Google home. When I say "hey Google, turn off the lights." All except this one turn off. I have to go to their app (also work with smart life, but doesn't solve the issue) and refresh the app so that the bulb goes from"offline" to connected. It's really frustrating. I go to bed, and this bulb just won't budge. It's connected to google home, I know that because I can control the light bulb from there after refreshing their app.Fonctionne bien quand ça fonctionne, l'application se désynchronise régulièrement et et il faut réappairer l'ampoule avec l'application, ce qui est très ardu!Received 12 of these bulbs to outfit my home. Out of the 12 bulbs, 2 arrived broken even though the box was not damaged, and 2 refused to sync no matter what I tried. That is a 25% failure rate and very annoying to get more bulbs to get all the lights automated.Does not work with new wifi/network. New networks have switched to 5G network from 2. App asks you to downgrade your network to make bulb work. Why would I downgrade network to make a bulb work?
